Since August 1, 2018, when Decree 86/2018 took effect, the limit on the number of Vietnamese students in foreign-invested schools has been increased with a maximum rate of 50% of Vietnamese students, a significant change from the previous limit of 10% for elementary schools and 20% for middle and high schools. "The amendment in Decree 86 has brought a great opportunity for investors interested in building an international school in Vietnam," said by investment consultant Mr. Su Ngoc Khuong. The educational environment in Vietnam requires more quality universities, with internationally recognized degrees and competitive tuition fees. With 41% of the population belonging to the "golden generation" (under 24 years old), the number of rich people and middle-class families is increasing sharply, Vietnamese people will soon be able to pay more for their children's education in exchange to a better educational standard. It is expected that the demand for higher education in Vietnam will remain high in the near future.
